POSITION SUMMARY
The purpose of the Operator job is to operate various machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and quantity of products produced by following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
Shift: Day shift, 7AM-7PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Match labels with batch records to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of common machine faults and perform routine maintenance as per operator's manuals.
  • Can be required to load, unload, set-up, clean, adjust and disassemble machinery
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure compliance with necessary procedures and appropriate documentation including accurate scaling and measuring
  • Report any damage or inconsistent materials to the supervisor or lead
  • Conducts or assists with overflow jobs in the operations department when needed.
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail while performing data entry tasks using paper records, electronic devices, PC hardware/software, and iPads.
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a clean, organized work environment while maintaining consistent attendance.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) meeting required manufacturing standards.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• 0-2 years of experience in a prior factory environment preferred.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills. (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
• Required to utilize and understand basic digital devices such as computers, iPad, etc.
• Ability to follow safety procedures inclusive of Nestle's Life Saving Rules
• Ability to speak, read, write in English and comprehend simple instructions
• Physical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs., stand, climb, bend, etc. within a manufacturing environment
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Understanding of inventory requirements and adjustments preferred
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing equipment preferred
  • Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments, fostering cross-functional engagement to meet expectations effectively.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and food allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish.

Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
