Job description

  • Strategic implementation : Develop and execute strategies to integrate and scale smart factory programs, such as software automation, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT), to drive operational excellence.
  • Production Oversight : Oversee all daily manufacturing operations, from production planning and scheduling to quality control, ensuring they run efficiently, safely, and meet all targets. Use data from connected systems to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Technology Management : Manage the smart factory's technology stack, including the Operational Technology (OT) and IT infrastructure. This involves managing systems like Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and data analytics tools.
  • Continuous Improvement : Champion a culture of continuous improvement by leading initiatives based on methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma. Use real-time data to drive enhancements and eliminate waste.
  • Employee Development : Manage, train, and develop staff for the smart factory environment, emphasizing skills that complement automation rather than being replaced by it.
  • Resource and Cost Management : Oversee factory budgets and manage resource allocation for materials, equipment, and labor. Leverage smart technologies to optimize resource use and reduce costs.
  • Cybersecurity : Maintain cybersecurity for all interconnected systems to protect against potential cyberattacks and data theft.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Provide regular status updates on operational improvements and digital initiatives to senior management.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze production data, and generate reports to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement
Requirements
  • Education : A bachelor's degree in technical discipline required, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering highly desirable
  • Experience : 8 years’ minimum experience in software / systems development role required with a demonstrated history of implementing digital transformation or Industry 4.0 initiatives to drive improved manufacturing operations outcomes.
  • Technical Expertise : Deep knowledge of smart factory technologies, including Industrial IoT (IIoT), automation, robotics, AI, data analytics, and manufacturing software.
  • ERP / MRP Systems : Experience with Oracle ERP systems and Advanced Scheduling & Planning software highly desirable.
  • Cloud Competency : Experience with Microsoft Technology Stack and AWS cloud services is highly desirable
  • Analytics : Experience with business intelligence tools for data visualization and reporting, preferably Quicksight
  • Leadership and Management : Strong leadership abilities to motivate and direct teams, manage budgets, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Analytical and Problem-solving Skills : Exceptional ability to understand root cause of issues in human-technology systems, recommend the right solution and champion its deployment within a factory environment.
