Job description

Job Title

Maintain Warranty Department records, file claims, post payments and conduct regular meetings with Component Suppliers to review product performance and warranty reimbursement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast of all campaigns, factory recalls and service bulletins as well as educating appropriate personnel with this information. Ensure proper shipping/receiving of all warranty parts. Ensure that all warranty paperwork is properly documented and that all verifying criteria needed by the factory/distributor are processed correctly.
  • Conduct regular meetings with factory/distributors to review any issues with component failures and/or warranty payments. Provides administrative and clerical support by typing correspondence, filing and distributing documents and spreadsheets. Assists with the completions and tracking of recalls and campaigns.
  • Provide support to Maintenance Department by reporting, analyzing, and researching warranty information that support corporate objectives and business decisions. Create appropriate reports for assigned area of responsibility. Utilize Dashboard reports to achieve objectives.
  • Assists in the creation and accomplishment of department action plans that support the corporate objectives & business plans. Works well with others within the department and company, as well as outside contacts. Contributes to the team effort by recommending improved processes.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending and participating in appropriate training. Ensure company confidentiality.

Education And Experience

Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer 2 years' experience in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Warranty program.

Working Conditions

Normal working conditions as found within an office setting, wherein there is controlled temperature and a low noise level, plus a minimum of distractions.
