Job purpose

The remote store assistant conducts visual inspections on the property for safety and security, verifies storage units are locked and secured properly, identifies maintenance needs, and reports findings to the property manager.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keep the property in a neat and clean condition, to include maintaining the exterior grounds free of trash and debris, cleaning of storage units, access hallways, customer & employee restrooms, and overall cleanliness of the property
  • Prepare units for new rentals. Verify condition of the space, sweep unit, and add welcome package to unit
  • Assign, add and remove past due locks
  • Update locks returned via the on-site drop box
  • Take and submit photos of the property to reference any damage
  • Take photos and conduct inventory of storage units scheduled for auction
  • Report maintenance deficiencies
  • Comply with company policy and procedures
  • Verify lock inventory and report low stock


Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications

  • Self-motivated. Possess excellent time management skills. Highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, be punctual and have excellent attendance
  • Must have a valid driver's license, clean DMV record, and maintain current auto insurance
  • Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and is committed to producing accurate and high-quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and general computer knowledge. Ability to learn new software & programs easily
  • Presents a professional, positive image that reflects well on the organization

Working conditions

  • The job operates in and indoor, clerical setting and an outdoor setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopies, scanners.
  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions, activities occur inside and outside.

Physical Requirements

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and reading
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
  • Positions in this class typically require fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials found in a home or general office environment
