About the role
The Facility Operations Assistant will support the day-to-day functions of plant operations by coordinating production activities and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards. This role will assist in maintaining facility and equipment oversight and serving as a liaison between departments to resolve operational challenges efficiently.
Essential Job Duties
Operational Support:
  • Monitor progress toward KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and recommend process improvements. Safety & Compliance:
  • Conduct facility safety inspections and help enforce safety protocols.
  • Support audits, training programs, and ensure adherence to OSHA and company EHS guidelines.

Facility & Equipment Oversight:
  • Monitor equipment performance and escalate maintenance issues.
  • Ensure proper upkeep of workstations, tools, and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed. Cross-Functional Liaison:
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR teams to resolve operational challenges.
  • Facilitate communication between the FGM and other department leaders.

Administrative & Reporting Duties:
  • Assist with budget tracking, inventory audits, and procurement planning. Special Projects & Continuous Improvement:
  • Support lean initiatives, Kaizen events, and project rollouts.
  • Participate in strategic planning and long-term infrastructure improvement efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility operations, manufacturing support, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards (e.g., OSHA, EHS protocols).
