ABOUT THE POSITION
ACLUNV seeks applicants for an Operations Assistant position in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role will provide administrative support to Executive Director Athar Haseebullah, Esq. and to the Finance and Operations Director, Alexandria Hughes. This posting is for a part-time, in-person position in our Las Vegas office with hours between approximately 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It's possible that after time and upon mutual agreement, the position may become a full-time position for the right candidate.

Finance and Operations Director
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Pay is based on experience and qualifications.The pay range for this position is $20-25 per hour. Part-time employees are not eligible for benefits.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Record daily transactions, reconcile bank accounts, create journal entries, and generate financial reports via QuickBooks Online;
  • Collect, review, and submit expense reports;
  • Manage office inventory and ordering as directed;
  • Prepare meeting agendas, gather necessary materials, and provide logistical support;
  • Take minutes, summarize discussions, and follow up on action items;
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of special projects;
  • Assist in managing vendors;
  • Provide general administrative support and other related responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • QuickBooks (or similar) experience required;
  • Microsoft Office experience;
  • Experience as an operations assistant, administrative assistant, facilities coordinator, or in a similar role;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities;
  • Ability to work beyond ordinary hours in some instances;
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred but not required;
  • Non-profit experience and accounting skills are a plus but not required.
