Job description


The Year-Round Intern provides administrative, technical, and operational support to the Facility Operations Center (FOC). This position assists with asset management, preventive maintenance activities, documentation, shuttle operations, and other routine assignments that support daily facilities operations. The intern works closely with the FOC Business Systems Analyst (BSA) and FOC staff while gaining valuable experience in facilities management and business operations. Benefits of the position:

  • Opportunity to build skills and experience for future Facilities Management and Facility Operations Center positions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with OpenBlue asset management, including field verification of equipment, asset tag validation, and collection of serial numbers and equipment data.
  • Support asset onboarding, record updates, documentation, and data accuracy efforts.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities, inspections, inventory verification, and work order support.
  • Help maintain asset records, preventive maintenance records, and safety equipment documentation.
  • Provide support for shuttle operations, including vehicle inspections, cleaning, refueling, and related coordination.
  • Perform administrative tasks, data entry, reporting, and record management.
  • Assist with special projects and other operational assignments as needed

Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and work with computerized asset management and maintenance systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and accurately maintain records.
