NATURE AND SCOPE:

This position supervises and coordinates the activities of assigned facilities and YMCA fleet vehicles. The Facilities and Fleet Service Manager will direct the team of painters/maintenance workers for the YMCA of Metro Atlanta facilities and properties. This position works closely, and in a hands-on capacity, and partners with the Executive Directors and program leadership to provide guidance, support, and solutions for facility and transportation needs of locations. This position provides support across all work groups within the organization, and is accountable for overall service delivery, staff leadership and development, and regulatory and safety compliance.

RESPONSIBLILITES (including, but not limited to):
  • Lead and coordinate all Association maintenance operations for designated YMCA facilities and fleet vehicles, ensuring safe, functional, and welcoming environments.
  • Plan, implement, and oversee preventative and annual maintenance programs for facilities, building systems (mechanical, HVAC, aquatic, filtration, electrical, plumbing, fitness equipment), and fleet operations in compliance with YMCA standards and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians, painters, and contractors, including scheduling, work assignments, performance management, and professional development.
  • Administer Asset Management systems, including work order management, equipment lifecycle and warranty tracking, documentation, and regulatory recordkeeping.
  • Oversee fleet maintenance, inspections, repairs, licensing, registration, and compliance documentation to ensure safe and reliable transportation services.
  • Solicit, review, and recommend contractor and vendor bids; manage external partnerships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets, monitor expenditures, and oversee inventory and procurement of supplies and replacement parts.
  • Collaborate with YMCA leadership to align maintenance operations with program needs and strategic goals; support and help lead capital improvement projects, renovations, and major repairs.
  • Ensure adherence to YMCA policies, risk management practices, and safety standards (including OSHA and environmental regulations); serve as an on-call resource for facility and fleet emergencies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in facility maintenance and fleet services management or closely related field
  • 1+ years of direct supervisory experience in the maintenance field
  • Experience with budget management and project management
  • Ability and current license to drive with record that meets YMCA standards
  • Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations outside of normal work hours.
