Essential Functions

Maintain and improve the facilities by directly performing the work as well as working with 3rd party contractors and vendors. The facility includes the buildings and grounds, all non-production systems, and 3rd party PMs of production equipment. Be a technical resource for new product development, assist with plant startups, and assist maintenance team as requested. 

Maintain and improve the facilities: 

  • Perform needed maintenance directly (if possible) 
  •  Use 3rd party vendors and contractors as needed 

Facilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • All buildings and grounds 
  •  Housekeeping 
  • Pest control 
  •  Lawn care 
  • Parking lots (including cleaning) 
  • Erosion control 
  • Construction projects 
  • All non-production equipment and systems 
  • Cooling towers 
  • Air compressors 
  • HVAC 
  • Plumbing 
  • Water separator (operation and cleanliness) 
  • Roof 
  • Alarm & surveillance systems (including cleaning cameras) 
  • Recycling 

Manage all assigned 3rd party vendors (this could include production PM vendors):

  • Work scope 
  • Scheduling 
  • Payment (including creating and submitting capex’s)

 

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assist with plant start ups
  • Provide technical resources for new product development 
  • Assist the maintenance team as requested 
  • Any other assigned task 
  • Work extended hours as required.  

Qualifications 

  •  Associates degree or technical certification and minimum of 8 years of experience in facility maintenance in a manufacturing environment or 10 years of experience without degree required.
  •  Demonstrated success managing 3rd party vendors and contractors.
  • Demonstrated success creating and planning capital projects 
  • Good written/verbal communication 
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment 
  • Availability to work extended hours as needed
