Job description

Director Of Therapy Services

The Director of Therapy Services is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and delivery of therapy programs across multiple service lines to include Inpatient Rehab. This role ensures that therapy services meet the highest standards of clinical quality, compliance, and patient satisfaction while aligning with organizational goals. The Director will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of therapy professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement and innovation. They will also manage budgets, resources, and operational workflows to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of therapy services. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in enhancing patient outcomes and advancing the organization's reputation as a leader in therapeutic care. Responsible for the oversight, supervision and direction of Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, Acute Therapy Services, Geriatric Psychiatry Therapy Services, Outpatient Cardiac Rehab, Outpatient Therapy, Outpatient Wound Clinic, and Inpatient Wound Care Program, licensed and non-licensed staff members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business, or a related field.
  • Current and valid professional licensure in the relevant therapy discipline(s) as required by the state of Alabama.
  • Minimum of 6 years of clinical therapy experience with at least 3 to 5 years in a leadership or management experience in therapy or healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and therapy best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex operational functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree (e.g., DPT, OTD, or PhD) in a therapy-related discipline.
  • Experience working in a large healthcare system or multi-site organization.
