What You Will Do

  • Develop the next generation of our network vendor technology integrations.
  • Lead the design and development of complex software systems and features.
  • Architect, design, develop, and unit test Forescout product features to create new functionality, improve product capability and enhance customer experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Perform code reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of the codebase.
  • Debug and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and efficiency of solutions.

What You Bring to Forescout

Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience delivering production-quality software.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to design scalable and maintainable systems.
  • Effective technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud-native development.
  • Strategic decision-making and prioritization of engineering efforts.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and willingness to contribute across multiple areas when needed.

Core Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C/C++, Perl, JavaScript, Go, C#).
  • Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Strong experience with distributed systems and microservices.
  • Expertise in performance optimization, security best practices, and fault tolerance.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Excellent production engineering skills, including observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, and incident troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with LLMs for accelerating development and technology selection for product applicability.
  • Computer networking experience is a big plus
