Job description

  • Execute maintenance on various military aircraft as a Contract Field Team technician
  • Travel for extended periods working at various locations
  • Train on routing aircraft electrical wire harnesses, basic wire terminations and various other maintenance tasks
  • Interpret technical manuals, work cards, blueprints, wire diagrams/schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Maintain shop supplies and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Operate complicated shop tools and equipment as trained and assigned
  • Perform inventory control using logging, tagging, and organizing procedures
  • Maintain tool control and accountability
  • Adhere to company policies and safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training:

  • High School diploma required
  • Associate’s Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline preferred
  • Current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License required

Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in the required task area required
  • Broad working knowledge of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and inspection requirements
  • Knowledgeable in documenting maintenance actions in any of the following (USAF, USN and US Army) aircraft records to include digital maintenance data systems
  • Familiar with the installation of aerospace fasteners, rivets, nut plates etc.​

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
  • Successful candidates must obtain minimum favorable Tier 1 personnel security investigation IAW Department of Defense Instruction 5200.46, DoD Investigative and Adjudicative Guidance for Issuing Common Access Card (CAC)
