Job description

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures, a recognized leader in the repair and overhaul of aircraft structural components, is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our high-performing team. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all repaired components meet rigorous FAA, customer, and internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving, in-process, final, and return-to-service inspections of structural components
  • Inspect repaired and overhauled nacelles, thrust reversers, flight control surfaces, and radomes for compliance with approved technical data and customer requirements
  • Verify workmanship, measurements, repair documentation, and work orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, OEM manuals, engineering drawings, and company procedures
  • Support radome inspection and transmissivity testing to ensure compliance with performance requirements
  • Identify, document, and report nonconformities, discrepancies, and quality concerns
  • The Quality Control Inspector will work closely with technicians, engineers, and supervisors

Skills/Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience as an inspector required
  • Airframe or powerplant license preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to understand, read and write in English
  • Must be familiar with all inspection methods, techniques and equipment used in their area of responsibility to determine the quality of airworthiness on articles undergoing maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration
  • Must be proficient in the use of the various types of inspection aids used for inspection in their area of responsibility
  • Must be able to verify that the specifications, manuals and other data used during inspection procedures are current and approved for use by HEICO
  • Must be able to read and interpret Component Maintenance Manuals to follow manufacturer's instructions

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipment
