We are looking for the right person to join our team as a Machinist. Is that you? If so, we want to talk to you!
Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain all machine shop equipment including CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual band saws, bench grinders, and hand tools
  • Program and run CNC and semi-CNC equipment using CAM software; primary platform is Autodesk Inventor CAM with output to Hurco WinMax controllers
  • Operate ProtoTRAX-programmed Trax lathes and the Friar mill with Siemens 828-HS control software
  • Machine a variety of materials including aluminum, engineering plastics (Delrin, PEEK, etc.), and stainless steel to tolerances specified on print, including close-tolerance work to 0.001" or tighter when required
  • Navigate and manipulate Autodesk Inventor 3D models to extract geometry and support CAM programming workflows; pull models directly from Autodesk Vault
  • Provide fabrication, assembly, and debug/testing support across a variety of custom equipment projects
  • Support drawing review and 3D model review activities; potential for formal drawing review involvement as a growth opportunity
  • Strict adherence to all safety regulations, requirements, practices, and training

What it takes
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational / technical training in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of machinist experience; relevant apprenticeship or trade program experience considered
  • Day-one proficiency in Autodesk Inventor CAM; ability to independently set up toolpaths, select feeds and speeds, and generate CNC programs without ramp-up time
