Job description

Accountability:
Direct Care Staff shall be directly responsible to the Lead Worker / Sr. Staff, House Manager and QIDP/TC for providing daily training to the clients in the group home and in the community.
General Summary:
Direct Care Staff provide daily training in daily living skills, such as dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, eating, communication , behavior modification, social skills, money and community skills to the clients we serve to enhance their lives and help them to become a independent as possible.
Qualifications:
  1. Must be at least 18 years
  2. Valid Idaho Drivers License (other state license ok for 60 days)
  3. Clearance from Department Of Health and Welfare Criminal History Unit
  4. Have a GED or higher
  5. Certified in CPR/FA, Mandt and Assistance with Medication Administration (Can complete within 60 days of hire)

Example of Duties: This list in non-inclusive
  1. Work scheduled shifts
  2. Arrive to work on time
  3. Attend and pass all required trainings (Assistance With Medications, CPR/FA, Mandt)
  4. Attend all staff meetings and monthly in-services
  5. Read and demonstrate understanding of client programs
  6. Consistently implement client schedules and programs on a daily basis.
  7. Collect and legibly record accurate data and other required documentation.
  8. Legibly record daily progress notes on the clients.
  9. Maximize all learning opportunities on a daily basis, using teachable moments and modeling.
  10. Assist with daily cleaning with the clients.
  11. Prepare meals as assigned.
  12. Assist clients with med delivery
  13. Provide feedback to QIDP to facilitate necessary program changes specific to individual clients either through direct communication or in writing
  14. Ensure that all clients' rights are upheld
  15. Complete daily cleaning assignments.
  16. Ensure that all safety procedures are maintained and followed
  17. Role model socially appropriate behavior.
  18. Complete other duties as assigned.
  19. If on the Graveyard you are awake all night and complete duties as assigned
