Job description

This position may require overnight availability and is scheduled from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Candidates must be able to consistently work the overnight shift, including weekends and holidays as business needs require.
The Guest & Safety Experience Specialist is responsible for supporting the overall guest experience, ensuring the safety of both hotel guests and Associates, while also handling all respective security issues and/or disruptive activity that may occur at the hotel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years applicable security and/or guest-related hotel experience is required.
  • Current FLSD (Fire Life Safety Director) T89 or F89 license required.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with guests in respectful and courteous manner while portraying a degree of professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to Solve problems and handle emergency situations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all fire and life safety systems
  • Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assisting guests with luggage, as appropriate.
  • Assist with running amenities to guest rooms (i.e. towels, coffee, etc).
  • Respond to miscellaneous guest needs (i.e. television reset, toilet plunged, etc.).
  • Overnight schedule may require this role to assist with the linen delivery and/or garbage pick up, as required by applicable hotel contract.
  • Maintaining accurate fire and life safety log books in accordance with state/local Fire Codes.
  • Be a liaison between Property Management, building staff and first responders in the event of an emergency.
  • Conduct drills, training and other day to day oversight of fire and life safety plan in accordance with state/local Fire Codes.
  • Ensure that all local FD Inspections, Testing & Maintenance is scheduled, completed and documented.
