Job description

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Other - A large, multi - specialty medical group serving southeastern New England, with over 150 providers, including primary care physicians and a broad range of specialists, and offers quality health care, a diversity of services and treatments, convenient and friendly service, and state -of-the-art testing facilities to support their patients diagnosis and treatments is seeking a part-time General Optometrist, 2 - 3 days a week. This is a non-academic position of general community optometry, although any specific areas of expertise, experience, or procedural skills would be welcomed. The candidate must be expert at the assessment of vision defects and diseases, including diabetic eye disease and glaucoma. The Optometrist must be able to diagnose vision problems, interpret standard modalities of eye examination, and must be able to prescribe corrective lenses. There are no hospital responsibilities. Great for an optometrist with a private practice looking to add income or for a semi-retired optometrist looking for a part-time opportunity. Ideal location as practice is 25 minutes from Cranston, RI, 1 hour from Boston and 30 Minutes from Cape Cod.
