The Physician Assistant will work primarily in a vibrant hospital environment in Linden, New Jersey, which is known for its community-oriented healthcare delivery. Our clinic fosters a supportive atmosphere where collaborative practices are encouraged. You will work closely with a team of physicians, nurses, and specialists, providing care that spans inpatient and outpatient services. Your typical working hours will be Monday to Thursday from 9 AM to 7 PM, allowing you to enjoy a balanced work-life schedule.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including thorough history-taking, detailed physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic evaluations to create tailored care plans.

• Order and interpret lab tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures, taking action based on results to ensure timely interventions for patients.

• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians to develop and implement effective treatment plans that align with clinical best practices and patient needs.

• Perform a variety of medical procedures, such as suturing, wound care, and catheter placement, within your defined scope of practice to serve immediate patient care needs.

• Utilize our electronic medical record (EMR) system to document clinical encounters meticulously, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records.

• Educate patients and their families about disease prevention, treatment options, and post-discharge care to empower them in their health journeys.

• Engage in daily rounds and active participation in case discussions, contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery.

• Maintain your licensure and board certification while participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to keep your skills current and sharp.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse clientele, ensuring that all patients feel respected, understood, and well-cared for.

• A Master’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.

• Must hold a current and valid Physician Assistant license in the State of New Jersey.

• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is mandatory.

• Possession of a DEA registration with prescriptive authority in New Jersey is necessary for this role.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital, urgent care, or specialty setting is preferred.

• Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and procedural skills are essential for success in this position.

• Proficiency in using EMR systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.

• Exceptional communication and team collaboration skills are crucial in providing comprehensive patient care.

• Flexibility to accommodate varying shift requirements, including potential weekends or evenings, as needed.

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional experience in eye care or specialty medical fields will be prioritized. A demonstrated aptitude for working in fast-paced environments and handling multiple patient cases effectively is a plus.

Eye-Deal Vision Clinic offers a competitive salary range of $115,000.00 - $135,000 annually, alongside a robust benefits package.
