Extrusion Operator
1st Shift (B-1): 6:00AM-6:00PM
$22-35 per hour

What You'll Be Doing
Looking for a role that blends precision, problem-solving, and a dash of can-do attitude? This position is all about setting up and running blown film extrusion machinery to craft top-notch products. You will perform the following key functions:
  • Follow job specification sheets and determine the correct product specifications such as film width, gauge and treatment levels
  • Perform set-ups, changeovers and general extrusion functions
  • Manage department paperwork regarding manufactured materials
  • Perform all necessary quality checks required to ensure product quality
  • Develop skills to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment in the department
  • Optimize product quality and productivity while controlling scrap levels
  • Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the manager and/or designee

What You Bring
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. High level of measuring ability
  • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • A drive to succeed with a self-starter approach and a can-do attitude
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

To ensure safety, all employees are required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary, including but not limited to gloves, hairnets, safety glasses, ear protection, and other protection when applicable.
