Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this job is to perform a variety of routine transportation tasks to facilitate the delivery of products, supplies and custom orders between the bakery, retail locations and special event venues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates company-owned and/or leased vehicles for the delivery, pick-up and relocation of bakery products and other supplies/materials.
  • Plans daily deliveries by organizing loads and routing.
  • Performs required before-, during-, and after-operation ?user maintenance?; provides required receipts and reports.
  • Ensures outstanding guest service by delivering exemplary customer service during delivery operations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (including required licenses or certifications)

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Ability to successfully obtain/maintain CDL license.
  3. 1 or more year(s) as a delivery driver is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to develop and maintain productive and positive relationships with vendors, customers, and other employees.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal/external customers.
  • Strong organizational skills for the performance of a variety of administrative duties. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
