Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented operator to support our prep and extraction production operations. As a Prep & Extraction Operator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective production of soybean meal, hulls, pellets, and crude oil within required product specifications.

This position is on night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The schedule is a 2/3/2 that provides every other weekend off. Pay starts at $20.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour for the night shift premium.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety First: Adhere to safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations to uphold a strong safety culture. Identify and promptly address workplace hazards.
  • Under your direction, conduct continuous inspections of key process points, make necessary machinery and equipment adjustments, identify problems with equipment, and continually monitor equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust operations using computerized and controlled systems to meet department requirements.
  • Gather samples of laboratory analysis as scheduled/required and perform and record required control analyses.
  • Perform all types of general facility maintenance and housekeeping, including equipment inspections, repairs, adjustments, and monitoring throughout the facility.
  • Maintain accurate logs of key production variables such as production volume, yield, plant uptime, and utility consumption on a timely basis

 Qualifications:

  • Safety Conscious: Prioritize safety at all times.
  • Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical Aptitude: Knowledge of mechanical processes, and aptitude for spatial awareness and quantitative reasoning.
  • Experience: Previous operator experience is a plus.
