Job Description

We would be looking for an experienced Senior Developer / Data Architect who: 2. Expertise in dimensional modeling.

  • Has extensive practical experience with the modern Oracle platforms and technologies. This includes the following:
  • Significant Senior DBA-level experience with regards to designing and implementing enterprise class data repositories built upon Oracle on-prem and cloud-hosted databases.
  • Practical experience developing fully automated ETL processes from a variety of flat-file and DB sources.
  • Practical experience utilizing API calls for automated data refreshes.
  • Practical experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
  • Mastery of SQL and PL/SQL and the ability to develop complex procedures, functions, views, and scripts.
  • Experience with tabular data models.
  • Proven ability to accurately capture complex business requirements and translate those into technical solutions which are robust, performant, scalable, reliable, and expandable.
  • Demonstrates a disciplined approach to process and error logging.
  • Maintains excellent work habits when it comes to coding comments, system documentation, and metadata creation.
  • Ability to serve as a technical mentor to both senior and junior IT staff.
  • Ability to develop architectural diagrams and system documentation, and train others on the content.
  • Demonstrates previous success in independently researching technical options to find suitable solutions for evolving technical needs.
  • Works independently towards project and/or assignments goals with limited day-to-day oversight and/or prompting.
Typical Duties:
  • This individual will serve as a daily subject-matter expert for all Oracle technologies and toolsets.
  • Much of the work will focus on data modeling and developing automated ETL processes that pull data from a variety of data sources. However, data assignments will not be limited to these areas.
  • They will be expected to develop, monitor, and maintain a variety of automated DB processes.
  • They will be expected to research and resolve database issues as they arise.
  • They will be assigned a variety of database management and maintenance tasks.
  • They will serve as a trusted technical advisor to the client and serve as a technical mentor to other IT staff.
  • They will collaborate with other developers, analysts, and DBAs employed by the client.
  • They will work closely with IT vendors, IT leadership, andbusiness partners.
  • They will play a key role in upcoming system migrations, system expansions, and data modernization efforts.
