Extras do not have significant interaction with the principal actors or the main storyline but are essential for bringing authenticity to scenes. They typically receive directions on where to stand or move and may be required to wear specific costumes to fit the scene. Becoming an extra can be a good way to gain experience in the entertainment industry.
