Their role involves managing communication between internal teams and external partners, reviewing art assets, providing feedback, and handling contracts or budgets. Effective External Art Managers help streamline the art production process and maintain consistency across all visual assets.

How does an external art manager typically collaborate with internal teams and external vendors?

An External Art Manager acts as a crucial bridge between a company's internal art team and external art vendors or freelance artists. In this role, you'll coordinate project requirements, provide feedback, and ensure that outsourced assets meet quality and branding standards. Regular communication—through meetings, emails, and review platforms—is essential to keep projects on track and resolve any artistic or technical issues promptly. You'll also work closely with producers, creative directors, and other departments to align external deliverables with overall project goals.
