Direct Support Professional — Community Day Program

Location: Westborough, MA

Pay & benefits: $18–$22/hour · Full-time · Medical, PTO

What you'll do

  • Support daily living activities (meals, light housekeeping, self-care) while teaching skills that build independence.
  • Advocate for participants' rights, preferences, and dignity, and support their community, social, and vocational activities.
  • Safely drive agency passenger vans on scheduled routes; assist participants boarding and disembarking.
  • Complete required documentation on time, in line with our program guidelines and Massachusetts DDS guidelines; maintain HIPAA/DDS confidentiality.
  • Communicate proactively with supervisors, guardians, and community partners; complete required training and certifications.

What you'll need

Required:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ year of experience supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Familiarity with DDS regulations and Medicaid waiver programs
  • Demonstrated computer literacy for electronic documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with behavior support plans or positive behavior strategies
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to pass and maintain all required training
  • Satisfactory background check results

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree in Human Services, Psychology, or a related field
  • CPR/First Aid certification (training provided if not already held)
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities

Physical requirements: ability to bend, lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull/reach, and walk or stand for extended periods.

Pre-employment screening: DPPC Abuse Registry check, CORI and national fingerprint-based background checks, driver's license/MVR verification.
