Expressable information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Expressable, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Speech-Language Pathologist, you need a master’s degree in speech-language pathology, state licensure, and expertise in evaluating and treating communication disorders. Familiarity with teletherapy platforms, electronic documentation, and evidence-based therapy tools is typically required. Outstanding interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to engage clients virtually are crucial for building strong therapeutic relationships. These skills ensure effective treatment delivery, client progress, and high-quality care in a remote therapy environment.

What is an Expressable and what do they do?

Expressable is a company that specializes in providing online speech therapy services. Their team consists of licensed speech-language pathologists (SLPs) who work with children and adults to address speech, language, and communication challenges. Expressable SLPs conduct virtual therapy sessions, develop individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with families to support progress. The goal is to make quality speech therapy more accessible and convenient through teletherapy.

How does an Expressable Speech-Language Pathologist typically collaborate with families and caregivers to support client progress?

Expressable Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) work closely with families and caregivers by providing regular progress updates, sharing personalized home practice strategies, and offering guidance to reinforce communication skills outside of therapy sessions. Since Expressable delivers therapy virtually, SLPs often coach caregivers in real-time, helping them implement techniques in the client’s daily environment. This collaborative approach not only empowers families but also enhances the effectiveness of therapy and supports long-term success for clients.
