Description

The Holiday Inn Express Ballantyne Hotel is currently seeking dynamic and motivated individuals for the position of Laundry Attendant to join our team at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. We are looking to fill a Part-Time position, 2 days a week. 



Description

Load articles into washer and make sure correct code is entered into machines.

Wash clothes according to StepStone and hotel standards.

Sort dried articles based on item type and check for stains and damage

Fold and place items in appropriate storage racks.

Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution in vat to precondition for washing.

Use bio-red bags for contaminated articles when they are found

Soak articles according to procedure in bleach.

Pretreat stains with special solutions using safety precautions and proper procedures.

Check and clean all filters on washers and driers every two hours.

Deliver the linen to the closets as needed

Make rounds to pull dirty linen from the housekeeping carts as needed

Assist with monthly linen inventory

Must have a knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and

vendors.

Ability to accurately report information.

Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.

Attend required meetings.

Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.

Hearing, writing, typing.

Minimum pulling of 20 pounds.

Other duties may be assigned.

Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.

Must have good mathematical skills.

High school education preferred. Relevant training and experience required.

Additional language ability preferred.
