Job description

Ferrari Group specializes in the worldwide shipment of jewelry and luxury goods, providing one-stop solutions for the logistics management of high-value merchandise. The company is recognized for its global expertise in customs procedures and valuable experience with different courier services, gaining increasing recognition within the industry.

Export Clerk prepares customs documentation and ensures that shipments meet all applicable laws to facilitate the import and export of goods. Process export documentation according to customs regulations, laws, or procedures. This role requires successfully categorizing and classifying shipments based on a tariff coding system.


Main Purpose of Job: To be a key member of the Exports Team, ensuring the best possible client experience.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Ensure all export shipments are collected by the correct vehicle, the documentation is in order, and they are exported to the client`s satisfaction.
2. Ensure custom entries are completed correctly using the correct CPC code, and the entry is scanned to the NES Folder.
3. Complete quotations for new and existing clients.
4. Send flight details to the client by Email or Fax and ensure the foreign agent is pre-alerted
with full details.
5. Ascertain the urgency of the shipment and decide the routing of the shipment accordingly.
6. Liaise with foreign agents when required.
7. POD the foreign agent on urgent shipments to ensure delivery has been achieved.
8. Ensure the NES file is fully completed and check post-flight shipment details; details to the client.
9. Ensure the file is up to date and ready for charging out.
10. Liaise with the accounts team regarding client cred agreements.
11. Undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff, as may be reasonably
requested by your Manager.


Knowledge, skills, and experience required:
Essential
• Recent experience working as an Export Operative/Clerk.
• Good knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize and organize own workload to a tight deadline.
• Strong communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Be a team player in the department and with members of staff from all other departments.
• Sound knowledge of IT – Word and Excel.


Desirable
• Experience in transporting valuable goods.
