Position Overview

A well-established Tucson-based organization supporting highly regulated government and commercial customers is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to join its contracts and compliance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced contracts professional who has developed a solid foundation in government contracting and is ready to take the next step in their career.

The Senior Contracts Administrator will work closely with internal leadership, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and other functional groups to support contract administration, regulatory compliance and customer requirements. An important component of the position will be helping develop and deliver training to internal teams on contractual requirements, policies and compliance procedures.

The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who enjoys working across an organization, can interpret contractual requirements and communicate them effectively to non-contracts professionals, and has the potential to take on increasing responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and administer government and commercial contracts, purchase orders, RFQs and related contractual documentation.
• Review customer terms and conditions and identify contractual requirements, risks and obligations.
• Interpret and support compliance with applicable FAR and DFARS requirements.
• Assist internal departments with contractual questions, customer requirements and contract-related issues.
• Support the preparation and review of representations, certifications, agreements and other contractual documentation.
• Maintain contract files, records, databases and supporting documentation.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations and other departments to ensure contractual requirements are understood and properly executed.
• Develop and deliver training for internal employees on contracts, policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
• Help translate complex contractual or regulatory requirements into practical guidance for non-contracts personnel.
• Support continuous improvement of contracts administration processes, procedures and internal controls.
• Assist with export-control and trade-compliance activities as needed, including requirements associated with ITAR and EAR.
• Support audits, compliance reviews and other departmental initiatives.
• Take on additional responsibilities as experience and organizational knowledge grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal Studies or a related discipline preferred.
• Approximately 4–8 years of contracts administration, government contracting or closely related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of FAR and DFARS regulations.
• Experience reviewing contracts, purchase orders, terms and conditions and related contractual documentation.
• Experience within an aerospace, defense, manufacturing, government contracting or other highly regulated environment is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to ITAR, EAR or export-control requirements is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience developing, coordinating or delivering training to employees or internal business groups.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret detailed contractual requirements and communicate them clearly to others.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating across multiple departments.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive business information appropriately.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base salary range is $80,000–$95,000, depending upon experience and qualifications. A competitive benefits package is also provided.
