Job Description

We are seeking an Export Licensing Specialist to support U.S. export licensing activities under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and, when required, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

In this role, you will prepare export license applications, evaluate license exception eligibility, support export authorization determinations, and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliant international business activities.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with EAR licensing, export authorizations, license exceptions, and export control regulations in a defense, aerospace, technology, electronics, manufacturing, or other regulated environment. Experience with SNAP-R, DECCS, OCR EASE, ECCN classifications, or SAP GTS is highly desirable.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review business activities, transactions, and shipments to determine export authorization requirements under the EAR and, when applicable, the ITAR

  • Prepare, submit, and manage export license applications and supporting documentation

  • Evaluate, document, and advise on the use of EAR license exceptions

  • Review export classifications, authorizations, and licensing requirements to support compliant international business activities

  • Ensure compliance with export license conditions, provisos, restrictions, and reporting requirements

  • Maintain accurate export licensing records and supporting compliance documentation

  • Conduct peer reviews of license applications, export authorizations, and licensing determinations for accuracy and completeness

  • Partner with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Legal, and other stakeholders to provide guidance on export licensing requirements

  • Develop and maintain trade compliance procedures, guidance documents, and training materials

  • Deliver training and awareness programs related to export licenses, license exceptions, and export authorization requirements

  • Support internal audits, investigations, assessments, and corrective action activities related to export licensing and authorizations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, Engineering, Legal Studies, or a related discipline preferred

  • Minimum 2-4 years of hands-on experience supporting export licensing, export authorizations, export compliance, or export control activities under the EAR

  • Working knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), including export licensing requirements and license exceptions

  • Experience preparing, reviewing, or supporting export license applications and related documentation

  • Familiarity with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)

  • Experience supporting export classifications, export authorizations, licensing strategies, technology transfers, or deemed export reviews

  • Familiarity with SNAP-R, DECCS, OCR EASE, SAP GTS, or similar trade compliance/export licensing systems

  • Experience developing compliance guidance, procedures, or training materials

  • Experience working within a defense, aerospace, electronics, semiconductor, manufacturing, or other regulated technology environment
