What You Can Expect

Job Responsibilities

This role is responsible for supporting and executing key aspects of Marvell's global export compliance program, with a focus on supporting classification of products, software, and technology under applicable U.S. and international export and customs regulations.

The Trade Compliance Analyst will also support the company's export compliance program activities, including, for example, overseeing day-to-day management of the visitor policy, management of deemed export system, supporting trade due diligence efforts, and key projects for the Global Trade Compliance team at Marvell.

The Trade Compliance Analyst will maintain and follow compliance processes, training, audit and self-assessment programs, and related documentation, including SOPs and user guides, and will support implementation of program enhancements when needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related field and
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in trade compliance covering both export and classification compliance matters.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience applying U.S. and other applicable trade regulations to business operations, R&D activities, and technical data.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to understand the classification requirements of products, software, and technology under U.S. and other applicable regulations.
  • Experience with export control classification under the EAR (including ECCN determination) and HS/HTS classification for customs purposes.
  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry, including encryption products under EAR Category 5 Part 2 and Category 3, would be a strong advantage.
  • Experience preparing CCATS requests and/or export license applications.
  • Familiarity with global trade automation solutions for classification, screening, and reporting (e.g., GTM).
  • Ability to follow, develop and document processes and procedures, and solution enhancements when needed.
  • Strong independent judgment, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineering and technical teams.
  • Familiar with AI tools and/or willing to learn to use AI tools to support trade compliance activities.
  • English fluency; team-oriented and client-focused approach with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Flexibility to support global operations across time zones when necessary.

What We're Looking For

The Opportunity

The Trade Compliance Analyst will support export compliance activities at all locations where Marvell conducts business, with a focus on ensuring the accurate and timely classification of hardware, software, and technology under applicable U.S. and international export control and customs regulations. This role will also provide export compliance support to U.S. and international operations and help ensure business transactions are processed in compliance with applicable trade control requirements. This role will serve as a key resource for classification questions from internal stakeholders and will work closely with engineering, operations, and other G&A functions across Marvell's global locations.

The Trade Compliance Analyst will partner with the broader Global Trade Compliance team to help Marvell navigate complex classification requirements in U.S. and other applicable trade control regimes.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

88,560 - 132,600, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
