Key Responsibilities:

  • Applies knowledge of explosives safety laws, policies, regulations, rules, procedures, and methods to advise policy
  • Assesses explosives and munitions safety programs for compliance with applicable laws and guidance
  • Advises explosives and munitions operations and logistics for continuous improvement in hazard reduction
  • Applies experience and knowledge of the means of preventing or reducing explosive mishaps,
  • Assists in planning, developing, and coordinating presentation materials for meetings and conferences.
  • Assists with the planning, preparation, and execution of meetings and conferences hosted by client.
  • Supports Government teams working to maintain policy, procedure and technical standards.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in safety or related field preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years' relevant experience.
  • Applied knowledge of explosives safety laws, policies, regulations, rules, procedures, and methods;
  • Experience with manufacture, storage, transportation, employment, and disposal of munitions, explosives, and energetic materials,
  • Training in effects of munitions, the means of preventing or reducing explosive mishaps, quantity-distance siting criteria and personnel safety;
  • Knowledge of explosives hazard classification, munitions storage, explosive ordnance inventory and disposition.
  • Able to obtain a successful adjudication of T-1 background investigation.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Quality Assurance Specialist (Ammunition Surveillance) (QASAS) Training, EXPLOSIVES SAFETY PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE, Completion of AMMO-74 Explosives Safety Officer Orientation Course (CERT), or similar.


Salary:

  • The starting salary range for this position has been established as between $77,000 - $105,000. The Concurrent Technologies Corporation pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
