About the Position 

Groome Industrial Service Group is seeking motivated individuals to join our team and travel from our Tyler, TX office to power generation plants. This role involves hands-on training to de-slag large utility boilers using controlled explosives. No prior experience is necessary-just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. This is a long-term career opportunity with room for advancement. Qualified individuals may have the opportunity to become licensed explosives blasters through our internal training and certification programs.

What does it take to work for Groome Industrial Service Group? 

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
  • No felony or family violence convictions.
  • No DWI convictions in the last 5 years.
  • Ability to lift 90 pounds.
  • High School Diploma / GED Required.
  • Reliable transportation required and must live within an hour of our office.
  • Willingness to be on call 24/7.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Ability to work outside in challenging conditions.
  • Capability to climb ladders and scale multiple flights of stairs.
  • No prior experience necessary.
