Regional Program Manager, Medical Assistant and Allied Health Programs (Online)
 
Location: Based in Orlando, FL
 
Excelon Associates is conducting a search on behalf of a private university client for a Regional Academic Program Manager overseeing Medical Assistant and Allied Health programs. This role supervises assigned programs and departments, along with all relevant courses and services, serving as a subject matter expert for the programs they are credentialed to teach. The main responsibilities are concentrated in five areas: teaching, student retention, curriculum, accreditation, and learning assessment processes. This includes teaching and demonstrations in classroom, laboratory, blended, or online settings according to program objectives and course syllabi, assessing student skills, and supervising students in externship or capstone courses.
 
The Regional Academic Program Manager supports assigned campuses and programs, including students in online academic programs, and drives institutional effectiveness indicators (key performance indicators) to meet and exceed goals set for retention, certification, graduation, and placement. The role develops daily lesson plans as teaching guidelines aligned with the approved curriculum and ensures all course learning goals are met. This is a full-time, exempt position directly accountable to the Dean or Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert or Program Champion throughout the course development process in collaboration with the institution's course development team
  • Prepare, plan, and teach assigned courses on rotation to meet the required teaching load for each module, term, or quarter, adhering to the instructor guidelines described in the Faculty Handbook
  • Provide student support throughout the student experience by offering advising, tutoring, and referral services as needed
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual program outcomes, including retention, placement, certifications, monthly benchmarks, and yearly goals, with a standard of 70% or the plan established for assigned programs
  • Drive improvement in student academic progress by monitoring and impacting student persistence, driving down attrition, advising on final grades, and providing academic support, while contributing to student population goals and budget (including laddering and re-entries)
  • Monitor all course learning objectives, including completion of required courses and student learning outcomes, using academic reports and assessments
  • Monitor daily student attendance within the program and take necessary measures to ensure attendance, engagement, and retention benchmarks (minimum 70%) are met
  • Provide active support to college administration (Dean or Associate Dean of Academic Affairs) to help achieve goals and objectives related to attrition, placement, certifications, re-entry, laddering benchmarks, and annual outcomes
Minimum Requirements
  • Completed Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Medical Assistant Certification (healthcare certification required)
  • Minimum of three years of work experience in the field and two years of teaching or training experience
  • Applications must meet the minimum requirements to be considered
