Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and accomplished Expert Program Manager to lead and manage a portfolio of Enterprise data, analytics and artificial intelligence portfolio. This expert role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in delivering complex projects within defined timelines, budgets, and scope. Adept in managing stakeholder expectations, foster seamless cross-functional collaboration, and driven by a passion for innovative problem-solving.


PG&E is providing the full salary/pay range for this position. The actual amount paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, internal equity,โ€ฏspecific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, and geographic location.โ€ฏThe range to reasonably expect will be around the minimum and the midpointโ€ฏ$129,000 - $168,000. Theโ€ฏfinal decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to the factors above.โ€ฏThis job is also eligible to participate in PG&Eโ€™s discretionary incentive compensation programs.โ€ฏ  


Bay Area Min: $ 129,000 

Bay Area Max: $ 207,000 

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and our Oakland Headquarters or San Ramon Valley Conference Center 2-3 days per week based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory.
Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the enterprise intake and orchestration lead for AI initiatives, ensuring investments are aligned to corporate strategy, value realization, and responsible AI principles.
  • Lead a portfolio of high-impact data, analytics, and AI programs, providing program governance, delivery oversight, and executive-level reporting.
  • Enable enterprise data and AI transformation by collaborating with business, technology, and data management teams to improve decision-making, operational efficiency, and innovation.
  • Manage program and project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and projects are completed within the allocated budget.
  • Identify potential risks to the success of projects and develop comprehensive mitigation plans to address these risks proactively.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication among team members from different departments to achieve project objectives.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, changes, and any issues that arise, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Track project milestones and assess the performance of projects to ensure they meet the set objectives and deliver the expected outcomes.
  • Ensure project teams have the necessary resources, including personnel, technology, and tools, for timely and efficient execution of their tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, communication plans, risk logs, and status reports, to ensure all project information is accurately recorded and accessible.
  • Ensure robust project governance to ensure compliance with internal audit requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of IT programs by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of experience in technology programs and project management

  • 5+ years of experience in managing AI projects
  • 5+ years of experience in demand management
  • Experience in PPM Tool such as Planisware
  • PMP from PMI
