Job description

Fortis Industries, Inc. is interviewing for a Project Manager for our Miami 6 O amp;M project in Miami Florida.
The Project Manager will support Fortis Industries and will report to the Program Manager. This position would be 100% onsite.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
  • Position requires knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting contract specifications. GSA contract knowledge a plus.
  • Define and develop project plans/ schedules in accordance with contract SOW
  • Tracking project progress and report back to leadership all findings in a timely manner
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives and ensure contractual compliance
  • Management of multiple sites (6) including remote locations (3)
  • Must pass both a detail background check, including a GSA suitability determination and a pre-employment drug screening prior to hire. Must remain in compliance as a condition of employment
POSITION DUTIES
  • Coordinate the completion of projects on time within budget and within scope of work
  • Set deadlines, goals, and milestones
  • Assign responsibilities and employee duties and monitor project progress to identify efficiencies
  • Verification and responsibility on reports being sent to the government and Fortis leadership on all activities
  • Prepare reports for corporate leadership regarding status of project, not limited to employee schedules, tracking of complete Service amp; Task Orders, Safety amp; OSHA compliance, etc
  • Coordinating the submittal effort with subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure financial thresholds are maintained on all contract related activities
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess these minimum requirements
  • At least 5years experience in managing a workforce providing mechanical services
  • HVAC amp; Mechanical experience (required)
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification (preferred)
  • QCM certification (preferred)
  • EM 385-1-1 certification (preferred)
  • CPR/ First Aid certified (preferred)
  • Experience with MCMMS (preferred)
Pay:
  • $80,000 - $90,000 a year
