Job Summary: An Exhaust Technician, also known as an Exhaust System Specialist, is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining exhaust systems in vehicles. This role plays a vital part in ensuring vehicles are operating safely, efficiently, and within environmental regulations by inspecting, repairing, and replacing exhaust components as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection and Diagnosis:
    • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle exhaust systems to identify issues, including leaks, corrosion, damage, and exhaust emissions problems.
    • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint exhaust system malfunctions.
    • Interpret diagnostic results and discuss findings with customers.
  2. Repairs and Maintenance:
    • Perform repairs on exhaust systems, including welding, patching, or replacing damaged components such as mufflers, catalytic converters, pipes, and hangers.
