Will alternate between covering stress testing and cardiac rehabilitation as needed to provide patient care.

Pay Range:

$24.10 - $36.15
Position Highlights:
  • Location: Bermuda Run, North Carolina / Davie Medical Center

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related area with recent, relevant experience in an outpatient group setting.

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Certified Exercise Specialist by the American College of Sports Medicine.

  • Licensed in the State of applicable state for physical and respiratory therapy.

  • CPR certification in Basic Life Support.

What You'll Do:

  • Administers physical activity program for a variety of special populations and programs.

  • Reviews participant medical records, assesses risks, and develops individual exercise plan.

  • Performs a wide variety of fitness assessments as necessary to determine an appropriate exercise plan.

  • Monitors participant adherence to the physical activity prescription.

  • Consults with participants regarding risk factor management for cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoarthritis, or other identified factor.

  • Prepares and delivers cognitive-behavioral counseling lectures to participants.

  • Maintains records reflecting participant progress. Records and updates exercise evaluations and distributes as necessary.

  • Assists in the development of study protocols.

  • Performs other related duties incidental to work described herein.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings by recommending exercise prescriptions and reporting on patient response to exercise. Provides maintenance of treatment areas, equipment and records.
