POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of Kinesiology in the School of Health, Science, and Technology invites applications for a full-time, tenure track, faculty position in the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program with concentrations in Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Occupational Therapy, Pre-Athletic Training, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. The position requires a dynamic, student-centered, and collaborative faculty member who will contribute to the growth of the Kinesiology program. The faculty member will work under the direction of the Director of Kinesiology and the Dean of the School of Health, Science, and Technology. The core of Cornerstone University is defined and driven by its Christ-centered mission and Biblical confession.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Teaching
Teach undergraduate-level courses in Exercise Science such as Introduction to Nutrition, Exercise Testing and Prescription, Exercise Physiology, Principles of Strength and Conditioning, Measurement and Evaluation, Senior Capstone Research, Anatomical Kinesiology, and more.
Maintain instructional practices consistent with accreditation standards. The Kinesiology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences (CoAES).
Develop and teach both in-person and online courses, as needed.
Service
Participate in Program, School, and University service activities.
Contribute to annual accreditation, assessment, and program evaluation efforts.
Engage in student advising and mentorship.
Supervise and coordinate various activities such as the Community Fitness Testing Program, the Exercise Science Club, the Exercise is Medicine Club, and/or the Kinesiology Advisory Council.
Scholarship
Maintain an active agenda of student-centered research, scholarship, and/or professional engagement consistent with institutional expectations for rank and tenure.
Regularly attend academic conferences while supervising/chaperoning undergraduate students.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Earned Masters in Exercise Science or Kinesiology.
Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate Exercise Science courses.
Professional certifications such as Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP), Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), or other relevant credentials.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and an active Christian commitment.
