Job description

Trainer Results-Driven Coach & Fitness Sales Professional

At Anytime Fitness, everything we do revolves around how we Coach, Care, and Connect with our members. This role is more than just delivering workouts—it’s an opportunity to build real relationships, drive measurable results, and grow a long-term, successful career in personal training.

As a Personal Trainer, you’ll operate as both a fitness professional and a results-focused sales consultant. You’ll coach members to achieve outcomes they’re proud of while confidently recommending and selling personal training solutions that align with their goals.

This position is ideal for trainers who are passionate about coaching, motivated by results, and excited to grow their income through performance-based personal training sales.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Client Results

  • Conduct comprehensive fitness consultations, including pre-participation screening, medical history review, lifestyle assessment, and goal-setting conversations.
  • Design and deliver individualized training programs that drive measurable strength, performance, body composition, and lifestyle results.
  • Lead one-on-one and small group training sessions (1–4 members)
  • Coach proper exercise technique, movement quality, and progression while ensuring safety and confidence during every session.
  • Track progress using body scan technology and performance benchmarks; clearly communicate results and next steps to clients.
  • Retain clients through consistent check-ins, progress reviews, accountability, and relationship-based coaching.

Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Confidently present, recommend, and sell personal training programs based on each member’s goals, needs, and readiness.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly personal training revenue goals established by the management team.
  • Convert fitness consultations into paid training clients through value-based conversations—not pressure-based sales.
  • Partner with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding, referrals, and internal marketing initiatives.
  • Re-engage inactive members and past clients through follow-ups, progress reviews, and results-focused outreach.

Professionalism & Team Contribution

  • Attend and actively participate in weekly and monthly team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing education.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional training environment.
  • Stay current on certifications, continuing education, and industry best practices.
  • Represent the Anytime Fitness brand with professionalism, energy, and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year of personal training or coaching experience
  • Current personal training certification from a nationally accredited organization (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, ISSA, etc.)
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
  • Strong knowledge of exercise science, program design, and progression strategies that deliver client results
  • Ability to coach individuals and groups with confidence, motivation, and effective time management
  • Comfortable discussing goals, pricing, and program recommendations with members
  • Ability to demonstrate exercises and perform physical job duties, including lifting up to 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, or a related field
  • Previous sales, customer success, or performance-based compensation experience
  • Virtual or hybrid personal training experience
  • Strong communication skills with a growth-oriented, coachable mindset

What We Offer

  • Structured onboarding, coaching, and sales training
  • Ongoing mentorship and professional development
  • Performance-based earning potential with clear revenue expectations
  • Supportive, team-driven culture focused on growth and accountability
  • Opportunity to build a long-term career within the Anytime Fitness network

Job Type

  • Part-Time with potential for growth

Compensation

  • Hourly office pay with additional hourly pay for training sessions, group sessions, and commission paid on training sales
