Job description

Orangetheory Fitness is a science-backed, coach-led workout built on heart rate-based training, real results, and an unmatched sense of community. We're looking for passionate, knowledgeable coaches who love leading groups, motivating people, and creating meaningful member connections.
What You'll Do
  • Lead high-energy, one-hour Orangetheory workouts using heart rate-based interval training
  • Coach members through safe, effective form on the treadmill, rower, and weight floor
  • Offer clear cues, options, and modifications for all fitness levels
  • Educate members on the "why" behind the workout and their performance data
  • Create an inclusive, welcoming environment where every member feels supported
  • Build strong relationships with members before, during, and after class
  • Collaborate with studio leadership and fellow coaches to elevate the member experience

Certifications We Accept
Applicants must hold one or more of the following current certifications:
  • ACE CPT
  • ACE GFI
  • ACSM CPT
  • ACSM GEI
  • ACSM EP
  • NASM CPT
  • NSCA CPT
  • NSCA CSCS
  • NCSF CPT
  • AFAA GFI

Education-Based Eligibility (Certification Alternative)
Individuals with an advanced degree obtained in 2010 or later may be eligible to apply in place of a certification, provided they hold a current AED/CPR certification.
Accepted degree fields include:

  • Movement Science
  • Exercise Physiology
  • General Fitness
  • Athletic Training

Additional Requirements
  • Current CPR/AED certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Strong communication and group coaching skills
  • Ability to coach early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Professional, positive, and reliable presence

Audition & Training Process
  • All applicants must successfully audition as part of the interview process
  • Candidates selected from auditions are required to complete the Orangetheory OTFit Certification Programprior to coaching classes

In a 60-minute class, led by a highly trained and certified coach, members target at least twelve minutes in the Orange Zone to raise their heart rate and charge up metabolism.
