Job description

Physical Therapist

Job Title: Physical Therapist

Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Outpatient

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5 x 8-Hour (09:00 - 18:00)

Experience: Minimum of 1 year required

License: State License required

Certifications: BLS (AHA) required

Must-Have: Skills in Orthopedics and Neurology are required. Highly preferred experience with pelvic floor therapy patients.

Description: Hours are Monday through Wednesday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Thursday hours are from 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM. Friday hours are from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. Guaranteed hours per week are 40. There is no call requirement. No weekend coverage is required. Floating is not required. Certification in state licensing and BLS (AHA) is necessary. Candidates must have experience in Orthopedic and Neurological therapy. The schedule is negotiable, but three 6 PM days are required. Additional responsibilities include managing a patient caseload primarily of orthopedic and neurological conditions. The patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with various diagnoses. Experience with various rehabilitation procedures and a range of physical therapy techniques is expected. Skills in home exercise programs and patient and family education are essential. Specialized therapy for a range of conditions will be provided, including post-operative care and cognitive disorders. This position will involve working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care. Evidence of flu vaccination is required. Medical exemptions may be considered for flu vaccination. All lab work must be scheduled promptly.
