Job description

GVN Performance is a sports performance company focused on developing athletes to achieve their highest potential. Our elite performance coaches utilize state-of-the-art equipment, technology, and recovery tools to assess athletes and implement individualized training programs.

Position Overview 

The Performance Coach plays a key role in delivering high-level training and support to GVN athletes. This position requires professionalism, strong knowledge of exercise science principles, and the ability to motivate and positively influence athletes of all levels. 

The ideal candidate is passionate about athlete development, thrives in a team environment, and is committed to upholding the GVN “Good Wolf” culture


Key Responsibilities 

Athlete Development 

● Implement and coach training programs for youth sports organizations 

● Conduct athlete assessments and apply results to training plans 

● Support the implementation of the GVN training methodology 

● Deliver high-quality coaching during group training sessions 


Client Experience & Communication 

● Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership with athletes and parents 

● Create a positive, high-energy training environment 

● Serve as a strong ambassador for the GVN brand and culture 


Personal Training 

● Ability to build and manage a personal training client base 


Off-Season Training 

● Assist with Comprehensive Off-Season Training programs (May–September) for professional, collegiate, and youth athletes 


Additional Responsibilities 

● Opportunities to support the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (NTDP) based on availability and scheduling 


Compensation 

$45,000 - $65,000 (ability to make more taking on PT clients)


Preferred Qualifications 

● Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field (preferred) 

● CSCS or other applicable certifications (preferred) 

● Experience coaching athletes in a sports performance setting 

● Experience with basic sports science applications 

● Strong knowledge of strength & conditioning principles 

● Passion for athlete development and high-performance training 

● Strong desire to continue education and grow
