Description
The Spencer College of Education and Human Sciences Department of Kinesiology is accepting applications for the position of Non-Tenure-Track, Visiting Assistant Professor of Exercise Science. This position is a full-time position and will be for a nine-month appointment only. Review of applications will begin in July 2026 and continue until the position is filled.

Essential Job Duties
Duties include teaching a 6/9 credit hours load, student advisement, engaging in scholarly activities and professional service, and working on departmental, college and university-wide committees. The candidate will teach courses in the curriculum in the Exercise Science program which may include exercise prescription, introduction to fitness testing, kinesiology, exercise leadership and others. Additional responsibilities include maintaining office hours in accordance with university policy, and performing other duties as assigned by the Department Chair. Applicants should have a high commitment to effective classroom and online teaching, student advising and mentoring, curriculum development, research/scholarship and professional activity.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a closely related field. ABD candidates will be accepted, provided the degree requirements are met by the time of the appointment. A background in teaching at the college/university level (undergraduate as well as graduate) and student mentoring, especially at the graduate level, is desired.
