Pay Range

$18.59 - $24.16Job DescriptionThe Fitness Associate is responsible for coverage of the fitness floor at Hampshire Wellness & Fitness. During a shift, duties may include performing fitness assessments and reassessments, personal training sessions and leading/designing medically integrated programs for cardiac, diabetes, post rehab and pre surgical members. Also must clean equipment and observe/maintain a safe environment while members work out
Education
Bachelor's degree in exercise science/exercise physiology or current certification in exercise instruction, personal training, health fitness instructor (A.C.E., A.F.A.A., or A.C.S.M.) required
Experience
Prior experience or the ability to teach group fitness classes preferred. Prior experience in fitness instruction preferred.
Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved required *
Current certification in exercise instruction, personal training, health fitness instructor (A.C.E., A.F.A.A., or A.C.S.M.). CPR Certification/AED current certificate or within 30 days of hire.
Qualifications
Knowledge of principles of exercise physiology. Enthusiasm and interest in helping others improve their fitness levels.
