Group/Division
The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
1. (Installation)
• Exercise independent judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting unique methods, techniques and evaluation criteria in obtaining results.
• Work with service engineer from Tier1/Tier 2, to oversee the whole deliverables and process.
2. (Tech Problem Solving)
• Lead to evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems related to installation.
• Lead the end-to-end troubleshooting and repair of complex system-level problems, orchestrating collaboration with factory experts to proactively resolve issues and drive system root cause rectification.
• Work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Identifies and creates BPs (Best Known Practices) and BKMs (Best Know Method).
• Lead install escalations and drive creation and execution of POAs for complex issues.
3. (Reporting) Prepare field service reports and daily passdowns on Installation progress and non-conformances ensuring consistency and accuracy. Drive post-activity Quality Feedback Report by implementing BKMs (Best-Known Method).
4. (Mentoring) Mentor junior engineers. Provide guidance and technical assistance at customer sites. Develop complex POAs (Plan Of Action) for unique issues. Provide phone, email, and on-site support and attend technical call for other PIEs.
5. (Upgrade & Relocation)
• Perform model change upgrades to fielded systems independently.
• Identify and develop new process and procedures for installation and upgrade working directly with PLC/NPI engineers. Lead involvement in new product development and pre-release testing.
6. (Travel) Establish and maintain readiness for obtaining all necessary international travel documents and managing personal lives to support extended travel assignments. Provide guidance on managing personal finance to prevent disruption to scheduled activities and promote operationally continuity.
7. (Training) Provide OJT, coaching, and mentoring to all junior engineers. Share BKM, Best practice, and knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 5 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 12 years
