Our Company

On Duty Health is a mobile health and fitness assessment company specializing in Occupational Medicine. We provide on-location health and fitness assessments for firefighters, law enforcement, and corporate wellness events. We send a team of 3 healthcare professionals, a Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, an Ultrasound technician, and Exercise Physiologist to a job site in order to conduct the assessments and provide exceptional customer service to our clients. We are searching for an Exercise Physiologist to join the team.

Exercise Physiologist Job Summary

The Exercise physiologist will evaluate patients vitals, conducting pulmonary function testing, flexibility, body composition, muscular strength/endurance, conduct resting and stress EKG testing, educate patients on findings, and ultimately work with the team to provide health and fitness recommendations for individual patient improvement.

Qualifications

Education:

B.S required from accredited university in; Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise physiology, or related.

M.S Preferred

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Preferred

American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Physiologist (ACSM-EP) Preferred

American College of Sport Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (ACSM-CPT) Preferred

National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) Preferred

National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Preferred

Experience

On Duty Health is searching for self motivated and qualified candidates whom are familiar with providing a professional yet motivating experience with clients in a health and fitness setting. Experience in providing customer service is essential to this position due to not only the importance of the assessment itself, but also to motivate our patients to strive for improvement in their overall health. Experience with conducting various fitness evaluations is also recommended

Current knowledge and industry standards of excellence in exercise testing and exercise prescription

Job-related travel is required, One of our main benefits to our clients is we provide the convevience of being on site to complete the health assessments. Candidates can expect to be in multiple fire/police stations, city administration, and corporate buildings throughout the state of Texas, and occasionally California.

Knowledge and ability to conduct the above mentioned tests with confidence and professionalism

Acknowledge the industry of the job site and use customer skills to engage and interact with clients

Communicate professionally and efficiently with both co-workers and clients to obtain and relay information.

Travel expenses, including lodging, mileage and daily per diem for meals, is reimbursable.
