Job description

Sr. LIS Application Analyst Lab Administration The Sr. LIS Application Analyst will: Maintain standards of operation designed by the Administrative Laboratory Director, College of American Pathologists, Joint Commission of Accreditation of Hospitals and state (NJDOH) and federal (CLIA) regulations.

Administer Hospital and Laboratory policies and procedures pertaining to the LIS. Assure employee conformance to LIS best practices. Act as a liaison with LIS vendors to correct any quality issues and works with vendors for resolution of any performance issues or installation of new hardware and software.

Manage the various LIS programs utilized by the Laboratory Personnel. Monitor lab testing and the accuracy of data transfer and results transfer between multiple systems. Requirements: B.S

in Science, Computer Science, Life Science, Technology, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar field required. M.S. in Science, Computer Science, Life Science, Technology, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or MT/MLS (ASCP) preferred

Minimum 3 years of IT Analyst or Laboratory Information System Analyst experience preferred. Knowledge of Hospital and Laboratory Operations, including instrument interfacing. Knowledge of Hospital and Laboratory billing preferred.

Work requires a high level of interpersonal skills and communication skills to interact efficiently with user departments, computer service representatives and other staff members. A moderate level of analytical ability to diagnose and assess operating problems and implement corrective measures as needed. Ability to manage detailed work, multiple projects, system failures, and deadlines.

In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
