Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders and drill presses.
  • Fabricate precision replacement parts, tooling, and machine components to exact specifications.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and rebuild mechanical systems on printing presses, finishing equipment, conveyors and production machinery.
  • Perform welding, brazing and metal fabrication for repairs, machine guards, brackets and custom components.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics and technical manuals.
  • Repair and replace bearings, gears, shafts, belts, chains, bushings, couplings, seals and other mechanical components.
  • Assist with equipment installations, rebuilds, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain maintenance records, parts inventories and fabrication documentation using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe machine shop while following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all company safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with departmental teams to quickly resolve equipment issues.
  • Other duties as required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys precision machining, solving mechanical problems and making a direct impact on manufacturing operations.

  • Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology, Precision Machining, Industrial Maintenance or a related technical field preferred.
  • Journeyman Machinist certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of machining experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience repairing high-speed manufacturing or printing equipment is highly preferred.
  • Strong experience operating manual machine tools, including mills, lathes, drill presses and surface grinders.
  • CNC machining experience is a plus.
  • Welding and metal fabrication experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of industrial mechanical systems, power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and machine components.

  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide documentation establishing identity and employment eligibility as required by federal law.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
