Over time, the territory will expand into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) markets.

Texas is unlike any other power market. ERCOT's market structure, regulatory environment, and buying processes require a seller with deep industry expertise, established relationships, and the credibility to engage utility executives and technical stakeholders alike.

If you understand the utility landscape, enjoy solving complex customer challenges, and thrive in consultative sales, we'd love to hear from you.

Performance Objectives

  • Represent the full Enverus Power portfolio, with an emphasis on:

  • Lead complex sales opportunities from initial engagement through technical evaluation, security review, legal negotiation, procurement, contracting, and renewal.

  • Develop strategic account plans that expand Enverus' footprint across utility organizations.
  • Partner closely with Product, Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to deliver long-term customer value.

Competitive Candidate Profile

  • 5-7+ years of experience selling software, technology, or data solutions into investor-owned utilities, municipal utilities, electric cooperatives, or generation and transmission cooperatives.
  • Proven success developing and closing complex utility sales opportunities.
  • An established network of relationships across Texas utilities with the credibility to leverage those relationships effectively.
  • Deep understanding of ERCOT market structure, utility operations, and industry dynamics.
  • Experience navigating complex utility procurement processes, including cybersecurity reviews, competitive solicitations, sole-source justifications, legal negotiations, and board or council approvals.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical decision-makers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly for a utility, an engineering consultancy serving utilities, or within the ERCOT stakeholder process.
  • Familiarity with public power and electric cooperative purchasing processes.
  • Credibility with both engineering organizations and market-facing business teams.
  • Passion for helping utilities modernize operations and navigate the energy transition.
